Collecting the Qur'an: A Webinar

This is the final seminar-turned-webinar in the series on book collecting arranged by the Antiquarian Booksellers' Association Educational Trust & the Institute of English Studies.

Nick McBurney is an antiquarian bookseller with a focus on early printing and manuscripts of the Islamic world. His experience ranges from individual objects to collections containing thousands of items. He has placed material with significant private and institutional collections. He sold Eton College the oldest object now in their College Library, a single vellum leaf from a 9th-century Qur’an manuscript written in Kufic script.
